Au mois de septembre nous avons annoncé un concours de vidéo de musique sur KevChino.Com et il’s enfin dessiné à un lourd proche.
Les concurrents ont été demandés de faire une série vidéo à une des deux chansons d’avant-première par il n’y A pas de Péché. Les vainqueurs pour chaque chanson obtiendraient $200.
Juger intervient pendant le week-end de décembre quatrième.

Make Their Video Contest. It’s A Wrap!
The entries are all in!
In September we announced a music video contest on KevChino.com and it’s finally drawn to a lumbering close.
Contestants were asked to make a video set to one of the two pre-release songs by There Is No Sin. The winners for each song would get $200.
Judging is taking place over the weekend of Dec 4th.
We’ll have the results up on the site on the 6th with links to the winning videos. If you’d like to be notified automatically, join our mailing list.

News From Clip
Ripped from the headlines, here is a quick update from Clip Records.
- Will Gattis’ live show two weeks ago in Portland was a hit. We’ll have some photos and video up soon. Great crowd at The Big Easy.
- There Is No Sin was at The Big Easy too. Troy played material from the upcoming CD. Despite losing his voice the day before, Troy managed to belt out the new material. It was an energetic show with Benjamin Burgess performing as well.
- Contest entries for the Make Their Video Contest are due by Nov 30th. The judging happen on the weekend after that and we’ll have the results posted here on Dec 6th.
- The new CD by There Is No Sin is in post-production. The mastering has been going along swimmingly (although Troy tweeted about driving the producer nuts). The design and packaging are on their way too. Promotional copies of the disc are slated to ship in December. The release date isn’t finalized yet.

The ad for our upcoming There Is No Sin promotion is up at the interesting indie site KevChino.com.
If you’re looking for some new music, it’s one of the best sites out there. As a long-time player in the online indie scene, they’ve amassed quite a library of news and reviews.
Our ad will run through the end of October. We’ll also have updates on the new disc from There Is No Sin in the next few weeks.
There Is No Sin & Benjamin Burgess Live
There Is No Sin aka Troy Keiper is heading up a special show at Blue in Portland with Benjamin Burgess on September 7th at 8PM.
If you haven’t heard Benjamin’s music, head over to his MySpace page and listen. His last CD Skeleton Forms was a find.

Pop Culture Monster
Clip Records and There Is No Sin recently teamed up with the entertainment site, Pop Culture Monster. The Irish website featured a promotion where they offered participants a package of items from Clip Records, There Is No Sin, the Fake Comedian podcast and The Snug, a pub in Portland, Maine.
“They wanted some things as in incentive to get people to promote the site. We stacked up a bunch of things…CDs of our friends, t-shirts, books, one of the last limited-edition copies of our first CD…it was an odd assortment of stuff,” Troy of There Is No Sin said.
The site offers a variety of entertainment news, reviews and interviews. It’s one of our favorites. Great for those trying to find out what’s happening across the pond.
Will Gattis New CD
If you haven’t heard of Portland’s Will Gattis‘, you should track down his new EP. The four track CD features a few tracks that are live show favorites.
The talented singer/pianist even tweaked up our personal fave, Metropolis. It’s a dramatic tale that piano-centric bands like Ben Folds would be proud of.
There Is No Sin in My Body – CD News
There Is No Sin is going to be recording their sophomore CD this summer. To get ready, they’ve been releasing demo tracks and b-sides randomly. So far, two of the songs have been assured spots on the coming release.
The new disc is slated for release in the Winter of 2010 and will feature 10 songs. Talks are in the works with artists to collaborate on the CD, which will be recorded at Busted Barn in Portland with Pete Morse.
One fun thing that we know: the cover art and package design is in the hands of the French photographer Christophe Garnier. Turns out Christophe is a fan and offered up his services.

Update From There Is No Sin
We’ll have new material posted from There Is No Sin in My Body this week. There are two tracks that were recorded at the end of 2009 and missed the deadline for the last CD.
Also, there is talk of an five-song EP for early summer.
Troy also did a video recently for New Zealand artist, Elliot Brown. Of it he said, “I listed to all of Elliott’s songs and I had this instant, visceral imagery for ‘Shiloh.’ And Elliot is such a delight. It was a lot of fun to film.” Click here to check out the video on Elliot’s YouTube channel.
