We have finished remastering the first There Is No Sin record. After a month of changes, we’re happier with the audio. If you bought a digital download, and you’d like a high-bitrate version, please email us and we’ll send you a link.

OK. We’re stunned. Last we heard, the next record we’d be getting our hands on would be Troy’s neo-punk project with the TINS trio. After Max Garcia Conover’s introspective release, this made sense to us.
Instead, it looks the NEW There Is No Sin disc will be out in the fall.
We’re ecstatic. The first single is called “I Moved to Jakarta” and we’ll apparently have it streaming live! If this holds true, we’re excited. The demos harken back to the first release, There Is No Sin in My Body.
We’ll keep you updated.
There Is No Sin’s Last Show of 2013
On 5/17 at Blue in Portland, There Is No Sin will play their final show of 2013.
Fans seems to be taking this more heavily than the band. For Troy, the band’s creator, this isn’t a bad thing: “I like pseudonyms because they allow you to play different roles. As Tim said, ‘This is new stuff is sounding more like Crazy Horse than Neil.'”
Troy has a long history of moving from genre to genre so it’s not surprising that he’d fall back on his heavier roots. And after the show, what will happen?
“There Is No Sin is ongoing for us. We’re just recording something different and it doesn’t seem fair to call it a TINS project. We’re the same people and we’ll probably feel melancholy again soon. I’d love Christophe to create the images. Tim and Al haven’t gone anywhere. Maybe Rukshan will shoot the next video?”
The show will be a fun return for TINS too. Blue was one of the first venues that the band played in Portland. It’ll be a fun sendoff. See you there!

We know two things so far: the actress in the video is Marla Giese and the filmmaker is, once again Ruwan. This is the third video (fourth?!) that Ruwan–he of the monkey video fame–has done with Troy’s music. It’s a very exclusive club, filmmakers.
And does Ruwan have an upcoming short film? IMDB says he does!
